OOTD & NOTD : Children in Need - Something Spotty

Saturday, November 19, 2011
Yesterday we had a dress down day in work and had to wear something spotty. We had to donate £2 to Children in Need and were then allowed to wear our own clothes. I did my nails spotty as I didn't think I had any spotty clothes, then I remembered my bargain £5 polka dot dress from Asda.

Dress - ASDA
Belt, Cardigan & Boots - Primark
Tights & Socks - H&M
Brooch (barely seen) - Dainty Roses

ELF White
Piggy Paint Dragon Tears
Barry M Yellow
Barry M Blueberry
No 7 Devils Delight

I was very pleased with how my nails turned out, I had so many comments on them.

Did you do anything in work to raise money for Children in Need?

Looking Back & Looking Forward - September/November

Wednesday, November 2, 2011
Geez I cannot believe that is November! November makes me so miserable its unbelievable, I think I have SAD! This horrible, dark, cold and damp weather makes me want to do nothing except curl up my in PJs. December makes me a lot happier as then its officially the run down to Christmas! Who would believe that I'm getting married in November next year ha!

This month I've been loving...

Beauty...
Sleek palette in Graphite. I bought this from Leanne Marie's blog sale a while back but have only recently started using it properly. I'm now in love with it! For me this is the ultimate night out palette. I will be putting a post up with swatches and some looks created using it shortly

Fashion...
Dark Green Velvet Turban. I bought this turban from Dainty Roses a couple of weeks ago, I also bought it in red. I love them both. They are perfect for the miserable weather that I described above! If I go to the firework display Saturday night this will be a must! If you haven't seen my giveaway yet you can win one of these, there is also a special link on my giveaway that entitles my readers to buy two for £10.

Food...
Iceland Double Pizza. So naughty but so good. These double pizzas from Iceland are just amazing.

Blog posts...
I need to try and make a rainbow cake after seeing how amazing Gemma's looked!
My friend Ashley has just started a blog. Its really interesting to see another side to him.

The products that I've used in full this month...
Sample of The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter. This smells absolutely divine. Unfortunately the sample was really too small to get a real feel for the product.

Babor HSR Lifting Extra Firming Cream from Boudoir Prive. I really loved this. I could feel a difference in my skin when using this. I've never bothered to use a proper night cream before but have now bought some after using this. Unfortunately not this one, at £82 for the full size its a little out of my price range!

ELF HD Powder. I love this product. I actually ordered more last week but haven't received anything yet, must chase them up. My skin is so shiny without using this, its horrific.

Neutrogena Oil-free Moisturiser. This does what it says on the tin. Moisturises the skin without leaving it greasy. I won't be repurchasing though for one simple reason. I hate the packaging. Its too thin so it knocks over easily, and its difficult to get all the product out.

Looking back...
I hit 300 followers! Wow! Thank you all so much!
I've fallen off the diet wagon lately, you may have noticed a lack of posts. I've lost my motivation but must find it somewhere!
I attended the Cardiff Blogger meet which was amazing! I loved seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new people.

Looking forward to...
5.11.11 attending the local fireworks display with Spencer, my sister, her partner and my niece (weather permitting)
18.11.11 a night out in Cardiff to celebrate a close friend's birthday.
19.11.11 another night in Cardiff (not sure I can handle two in a row!) to celebrate a colleagues 30th birthday.
26.11.11 a local night out around Caerleon for a friends hen night. Neon fancy dress. Oh heck!

What are your most memorable moments of October? What are you mostly looking forward to in November?

Hi guys, how are you all? I'm super tired today, the events of the weekend have taken it out on me! Reality hit hard returning to work this morning after an amazing weekend!

Saturday I went shopping to Cardiff and popped into the pub afterwards to catch a bit of the rugby, it was heaving in Cardiff as Wales v England were playing in the Millenium Stadium.

This is what I wore...

Dress - Primark
Tights - New Look
Shoes - Peacocks
Necklace - Love Suzie (now closed down)
Bangles - Primark

Fox ring - Dainty Roses
Leaf ring - Thirteen Jewellery

A close up of my brogues just because I'm loving them so much! At £8 I got a complete bargain!

IKEA Trip - What I wore, What I bought

Monday, August 8, 2011
Hi all, how are you? I do love having a Monday off work, it was so nice to sleep in until 9:30 this morning!
What are you up to? I may attempt to make a chocolate fridge cake a little later, as seen on Gretal Rabbit's blog. Looks yum doesn't it? No baking, WIN!

I went to IKEA yesterday, my main aim was to get some nail varnish display type storage and somewhere pretty to store my palettes. I didn't find anything suitable for the palettes so if you know of any pretty bargains suitable for that purpose please let me know! I bought three shelves that should be ideal for my nail varnish storage. They didn't come with screws and we forgot to buy some, quite annoying as Spencer did plan on putting them up last night!

I bought...

I can never get the icing to look perfect on my cupcakes, these nozzles look like a nice size so I'm hoping they will aid me on my mission to create the perfect cupcakes! This cost £5.19.

I bought three of these, it came to £15.57 for the three and they should hold quite a few nail varnishes. They came in a choice of black, white or natural wood which you could paint yourself. It is actually a picture ledge frame, here it is on their website.

Doughnuts :) These are an IKEA must! My friends and I were joking about how every time we go to IKEA we all always buy candles and the big bags of mini Dimes! I didn't buy either this time because I have so many candles left from the last trip and I didn't see any Dimes. My other two IKEA constants are batteries and doughnuts, which I did buy this time!

I wore...
Trousers, Blouse and Cardigan all Primark
Shoes - Peacocks
Bangles - Primark
Ring - Dainty Roses

PS. Can everyone please go and show the lovely Kelly some love as she is feeling low and would like cheering up! Blog / Twitter.

Week in Post #5 - Dainty Roses

Sunday, July 17, 2011
Hi ladies, I haven't received many exciting things in the post this week, that was until my Dainty Roses order landed on my door matt on Saturday! I placed the order on Thursday evening so was super shocked to see it arrive so quickly!

 Beautifully packed

 Fox ring

I had this brooch free as I spent over £12, such a lovely surprise!

The other package contained this owl necklace. It is a Christmas present for my mother so I haven't opened it. I wore mine up her house the other week and she loved it, thankfully Lisa had one left in stock so I've been super organised and ordered it!

Once again, Lisa has impressed me! My items are gorgeous, the packaging is lovely and the postage was super quick! Can you believe that the P&P is actually free?!

I ordered some jewellery boxes for my shop, annoyingly I didn't check the measurements and they're too small for the new rings I'm selling!

Free samples that I'm yet to try

Haul / Outfit / Face

Sunday, June 12, 2011
Hi all

What have you been up to this weekend? Yesterday I went to Primark with my sister and my niece, we then went into Zoopa Doopa, a kids play thing in Cwmbran. It was my first time there, it was great and Gracie loved it. Not sure if I could cope going there again though. Some parents just don't give a damn! They go there, sit in the cafe and leave their kids to it. As a result their kids get away with doing what the hell they want, one knocked Gracie off her chair when she was eating her food! A little girl decided to ride her bike through the cafe area and went smack into Gracie's chair, where were the parents?? There were a few other incidents that riled me included kids going down the slides then climbing back up them which meant no one else could go on them. Some people just don't care. Rant over.

Outfit

Dress - Peacocks
Sandals - Regis (local shop)
Necklace - Primark
Flower Ring - Temporary Secretary
Scrabble Ring - Love Suzie (closed down)
Bracelet - Peacocks
Earings - Dainty Roses

Face

Rimmel 25 hour foundation
Rimmel perfect match pressed powder
Eyeko Strawberry Fat Balm
Bene Tint and Eyeko Glow Getter on cheeks
High Beam on brow bone
Avon Super Shock mascara
Sleek palette in Sunset (colours used below)

Haul

I only went into Primark for the bag, as usual I came out with a lot more! I've been wanting a pair of Palazzo trousers for a while now but haven't been able to find any short enough for my little legs, I saw these and decided just to get them and speak nicely to my mother in the hope that she will hem for them me. The mirror will be returned, I know it only cost £1 but as I have tried showing here the light is ridiculously bright plus £1 is a lot of money in Primark! I may return the dress too, not quite sure yet. It just doesn't seem to sit right on me. Isn't the belt the cutest belt ever?
