Week in Photos #41

Sunday, December 18, 2011
This week has been...

NOM
My first red cup of the year :) Praline Mocha
Today's shopping trip to Cardiff involved claiming my free box of Krispy Kremes from the Cardiff meet
I also bought cinamon & vanilla glazed cashews from the Christmas market in Cardiff
 Standard hangover food
Not the most appetising looking photo but this was amazing. Green beans in Philadelphia, Birds Eye Baked to Perfection Salmon and stuffed potato skins

BUBBLY
I decided to use my LUSH Gingerbread house today. It doesn't mix well with jacuzzi baths. The photo on the left shows how nice it is, lovely orange water and loads of bubbles. The top right is what I opened my eyes to after chilling for a while with the jacuzzi jets going. The bottom right is after I'd emptied the water! My bathroom is covered in bubbles! I currently have towels all over the flower trying to soak up the damage.

FESTIVE
My festive nails are still intact :) I blogged about them here

Today's Cardiff trip also involved Santa's Grotto :) My two year old niece was with us, my sister, mam and me were actually more excited about this than her! It was amazing though, we sat in Santa's living room with Santa and his helper and Gracie had her photo taken and got to choose a present. She was stunned bless her, just went quiet and shy.

GLITZY
My shoe choices for the Bristol meet. I eventually decided on sensible over 'wow'.

Other non-photographed goings on include:

The Bristol meet, I didn't take one photo! I really am rubbish at taking photos lately, I need to get into gear and start snapping otherwise this is going to turn into a rather boring week in words. The meet was amazing, I loved seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new people. It was lovely meeting people that I have been speaking to on Twitter forever!
StephGemma and Bee have blogged about the event.
I loved the fact that we all had a good drink, I was a lot more relaxed than on previous meets. I really hope we do it again soon, I think a Saturday night in Cardiff should be arranged, anyone keen?

Again, another photo fail. I went to a Wedding party on Saturday which was brilliant. The bride looked amazing! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Groves and thanks for having us if you happen to stumble upon this!

South Wales Blogger Meet

Sunday, October 23, 2011
I'm a little slow (well, quite a lot) at writing this post, so apologies for that. On 12 October I attended the South Wales Blogger meet along with loads of other bloggers. The meet was organised by Gem and Chantelle in partnership with St David's shopping centre - thank you so much for making it so special!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the day part of the meet as I couldn't get the time off work, thankfully my lovely bosses agreed that I could finish work an hour early so that I could make it in time for the evening part! This was held in the management suite of St David's shopping centre.

The suite had been done out with rails of clothes and other items from various retailers includinPaperchase, G Star, Mango, New Look, Kurt Geiger, Radley, La Senza, Boux Avenue, Monsoon, Select, Peacocks, Jane Norman and a few others.

LOVE the dress on the left for the Christmas party season

I really want a Paperchase Christmas!

 THE Kurt Geiger stud shoes!

I'm in love with this Radley bag

Various retailers gave us a talk about their collections and some about the history of the store. We also had a hair demonstration from Kamigata in which they showed us how to create this seasons vintage wave. When the talks were over we were given Krispy Kreme doughnuts, we then got to go have a look at the clothes, etc that were on display.

We were given goody bags when we entered the event, they all had a number on. These numbers were for a raffle, I won some gorgeous goodies from Peas in a Pod.

The goody bags were packed to the brim! I was so amazed at how much we had!

 Various look books.

This was a kind of lucky dip, I think the highest voucher was £50.

Lots and lots of discounts and gift vouchers!

Mango vest top and various other goodies.

After a good browse and chat in St David's we headed over to O'Neills on St Mary's Street where we had a lovely buffet. I was pleased to see that the sausages I love so much were on the buffet!

I did my usual hopeless thing of not taking any photos of people! Rosie gave me permission to steal this photo from her post about the meet up.

I had a lovely evening, I got to catch up with a few people that I've met previously and met a load of people whose blogs I have been following for a while.

You can see a full list of the atendees on Gem's blog if you are interested. Gem & Chantelle are also each giving a reader the chance to win a goody bag from the event.

Thanks so much for organising this girls, when is the next one!?!

Ethical Fashion - ATRium DIY Fashion Show (Photo heavy!!)

Tuesday, September 27, 2011
Last week I attended a DIY fashion show in Cardiff's ATRium.

Design and Promotion students joined together to raise awareness of economical fashion. The students were asked to create a garment using only recycled and used materials, which were then showcased on the runway.

The outfits that they created were absolutely amazing, it was hard to believe that they had been created using all recycled materials, I was super shocked at how creative they were!

Here are my photos from the day...

We also received a goodie bag packed full of discounts and samples :) Here is what I had in mine...

Thank you so much to Lauren for inviting us (read allowing us to tag along) and putting us in the VIP seats! It really was a lovely day and I do love the outfit that Lauren created (they dress with the tyres).

Well done to all the students on the amazing outfits and the organisation, the day ran without a hitch.

You can read Lauren's post about the day and view some professional photos here.

Which of these outfits is your fave? I actually decided that the tyre one was my fave before I even knew Lauren had designed it, she was quite impressed that I picked it!
