Week in Post #11

Saturday, September 3, 2011
I didn't do a week in post last week as I didn't receive a lot, today I have for you a fortnight in post instead! I've actually been quite sensible and not ordered a lot, which makes a change!!

I'm pretty sure that almost everyone on the blogging scene will have received a package from these in the last two weeks! I obviously couldn't resist the 50% off code, I'd never tried Models Own before so this was an ideal opportunity to give them a whirl.

After my post about How to Konad? and reading most of the responses stating that I do need the proper stuff I placed an order on eBay. It cost £15.50 for all of these which I thought was very good! I got them from this seller, I ordered on Thursday night and they arrived today - impressive no? Can't wait to have a play with them!

E.L.F. had another 50% discount code, once again, I couldn't resist! I loved my Matte Lip Colour so ordered one in every other colour!

I saw these on Danielle's blog and decided I wanted some. It costs £1.99 for 20 water decals which isn't too bad. I got them from this eBay seller. (there is a rugby world cup coming up so I couldn't resist the tacky Welsh ones!)

Frooly are giving a code for a £5 discount if you 'like' them on facebook. Me being the bargain hunter I am had to take advantage and order something! Hello moustache necklace :)

Burberry were giving away a free sample if you 'like' them on facebook. Mine arrived this morning. I haven't had chance to sniff it yet!

Primark Haul :)

Friday, September 2, 2011
Hi guys, how are you all? What a lovely sunny day it is today! I'd given up on nice weather so had quite a shock today as it is actually warm and sunny! How lucky was I to have booked today off work :)

I was supposed to be getting the house ready for my guests that are visiting tomorrow, but instead I took a trip to town!

As per usual the majority of my buys were in Primark. Here is what I bought:

2 Pillow cases £3 - I have been thinking of my guests for part of today, these are for the spare bed!
Socks reduced to £1

Brogues £10 - I'm now in love with brogues so decided I could do with some for work

Colour block vest £4 - This top is like a tend but it looks nice with the jeans (below)

Skinny jeans with belt £14 - As you probably know I tend to live in dresses. That is because I feel comfortable in dresses. I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone by wearing more trousers.

Gloves £4 - Who could resist these?

Belt £1 - annoyingly I picked the wrong size up and its too small, must go back and change it for a bigger one

Dress £15 - I saw this dress on Eloise's blog, she had in white. I decided I needed it! I was going to buy the white one but fell in love with this colour. The only annoying thing about it is that it is short so I will have to wear thick tights or leggings with it :(

My local Wilkinsons have just started stocking Rimmel and Collection 2000. The Rimmel nail varnishes were 2 for £4 so I picked up these two.

Looking Back & Looking forward - August/September

Thursday, September 1, 2011
I can't believe that it is that time already, September - where has the time gone? Back to sharing the bus to work with sweaty students, oh joy! (I'm not stereotyping all students as being sweaty, just the students around here, most of them don't wash. FACT).

This month I've been loving...

Beauty...
ELF Matte Lip Colour in Tea Rose I absolutely love this product and still can't believe it was only £3.50! It has become my 'go to' lip product. You can read my full review on it here.

Fashion...
My Peacocks bargain brogues. I got these in the Peacocks sale for £8 and have hardly taken them off! I was never one for brogues when they first came out, the fact that the only person I know who owns a pair is my mother was slightly off putting! I saw these and fell in love, my feelings towards brogues have changed.

Food...
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Lemon Moran & Crème Brule. I'm a huge fan of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, if I ever have one in any month they are pretty much guaranteed to end up here! These are my two favourite flavours. I've started Weight Watchers since buying these so won't be having many more, even though if I do get desperate I do have my extra weekly allowance :)

Blogs posts...
Laura's floral nails, I must copy these soon!
Sofia's very healthy week in food, I need to take advice from this!
Jordyn's tips on what not to do when drinking, wish I'd seen this several years ago!
Gemma's photography tips.
Rebecca shows us how to centre the pages tab in blogger, mine now look lovely and neat - thank you!
Jemma's handy tutorial on how to protect your images from right clicking

The products that I've used in full this month...
Herbal Essences Smooth & Soft shampoo & Conditioner samples. I always order these free samples but never end up using them. I have decided that I must start using them all up! I really liked these, I got two washes from these and my hair felt lovely both times. I may have to buy the full size when my current shampoo & conditioners run out.

Como Shambhala Invigorate Lotion. I received this in my first ever GlossyBox back in May. I originally didn't bother with it as I didn't like the smell at all, I then decided to dig it back out and use it on my legs before going to bed. The smell fades away before the time I wake up in the morning. This is a very good moisturiser, I have extremely dry skin on my legs and it has certainly improved since using it.

Looking back...
August has been a really good month for me. I feel that I have had life changing experiences (deep!). By this I mean the two blogger meets that I attended. Even though I am a confident, outgoing person when with my friends I am shy and awkward around new people. I don't do anything on my own. My partner jokes about the fact that I hate going into shops on my own. August saw me travelling to London on my own! So out of character for me and I really am pleased with myself.
I also attended a Weight Watchers meeting at the end of the month, even though I won't be attending the weekly meetings (bad cashflow situation.) I will be carrying the diet out from home, I have all the books and my little calculator and am determined to do it this time!

Looking forward to...
2.9.11 my auntie's 50th birthday party - I love a good family get together so this should be fun!
3.9.11 a friend and some of her friends are coming down to visit from St. Austell, we are going shopping locally in the day and then into Cardiff for drinks in the evening :)
