OOTD and Get Your Freak On: 15 Weird Facts Tag

Hi all, how are you? What a miserable week with all this rain and wind hey!

I'm still really miserable as my hip still hurts, I have booked a Doctors appointment for tomorrow so if its still bad I will hobble over to see them!
A while back the lovely Rachel over at A Pretty Obsession tagged me in a post called Get Your Freak On, you can view her answers here. Today I am going to share my weird facts with you! Be warmed I do struggle with these posts so I'll probably ramble haha

1. What is a nickname that only your family calls you? 

None of my family call me a nickname, sometimes my name gets shortened to Lea by them. A lot of my friends call me Stundon, or if my sister is out I sometimes get called Junior.

2. What's a weird habit of yours? 

I never lock the bathroom door when showering unless I'm home alone. Wouldn't want the intruder catching me naked in the shower would I! They're welcome to the rest of the house though!

3. Do you have any weird phobias?

I don't think so, the usual things like spiders and bees, and there is my odd number phobia. I won't watch the TV/listen to music with the volume on an odd number, it has to be turned up so that its a nice even number.

4. What's a song you secretly LOVE to blast & belt out when you're alone?


I agree with Rachel on the 5ive front, I frickin love 5ive! Venga Boys are another fave of mine, particularly "the venga bus is coming...". Everyone knows I love stupid music though so I don't keep my belting out of crap songs a secret! 

I do love a good sing along to Adele when no one is around, my ribs hurt from singing so hard!

5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves? 

People walking slow in front of me and taking up the whole pavement, just move out of my way!

I also hate people who don't say thanks, I get so wound up when I go to places like London as there aren't a lot of people there that do say thanks! 

I'm quite often sarcastically shouting 'thanks' to people after I've held the door open for them / stood to the side to let them past and they've blanked me.  I didn't do it cause I owe you anything love!

6. What's one of your nervous habits? 

Fidgeting. I often fiddle with my rings or necklace when nervous. I also jumble my words up which can be quite embarrassing!

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on? 

I sleep on the left side at home, as that is where the shelves are. I don't have a particular side, I just sleep on the side where there is somewhere to put my drink, phone and glasses.

8. What was your first stuffed animal & it's name?

Seriously how do people remember this stuff! I did have a little koala bear thing, it was one of those little ones that you squeezed and his arms and legs opened so he would cling to things, if that makes any sense at all!! This type of thing...

I don't remember his name but apparently I never went anywhere without him. We have a photo from when my sister had her school photos and I went up to have one with her, I have him in the photo, my mam says that I cried and cried when they tried taking him off me so they just gave in and let me have him in the photo!

9. What's the drink you ALWAYS order at Starbucks?

I don't go to Starbucks very often as I can't afford it! When I do go I just order whatever takes my fancy at the time, usually some sort of toffee or caramel coffee.

10. What's the beauty rule you preach.. but never ACTUALLY practice?

Not really sure to be honest! I don't really preach a lot of beauty.

11. Which way do you face in the shower?

I stand with my back to the shower head.

12. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'? 

I can lift my big toe up really high and my fingers bend back quite a bit. The doctor thought I had hyper mobility syndrome at one point because of my flexible joints, thankfully I didn't, its nasty!

 

13. What's your favourite 'comfort food'/food that's 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways? 

Chocolate all the way. I've known myself to eat a whole big bar of Cadburys when feeling a little down. And still want more.

14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?

"Thanks", see no.5. 

"I'm hungry" haha

15. Time to sleep- what are you ACTUALLY wearing

I'm in my PJs now which are my rather unattractive pink checked ones, shirt style top and bottoms. Sexual.

OOTD

Now onto an outfit! This is what I wore when I went shopping the other day, although I didn't actually wear it out of the house! I was about to leave the house when I realised that the fly in my jeans was undone, then I remembered that they were the ones with the dodgy zip that I'd been meaning to throw out for ages, so I quickly got changed! I like the outfit though so am showing you it anyway!

Another tag that I've taken ages to getting around to doing! Jess over at Lovely Jubbly tagged me in this one. I must start doing these quicker! I'll admit I did have a bit of a "do I / don't I" relationship with this tag, mainly because I know from analytics that people who live near me are reading my blog, I don't leave the house without make up on so I wasn't sure I wanted them to see me here without it! In the end I thought what the hell, lets be brave! So here goes!

Inner Beauty

1.  Do you feel different with your make up on or off? Hell yeah! I won't leave the house without make up on, I feel horrid without it! Without make up I have zero confidence, I don't have a lot with it on but even less without it!

2.  To you, is inner beauty or outer beauty more important? Definitely inner beauty, I, like most others, am guilty of judging people on their looks, its human nature to judge people on their looks on first impressions. When you get to know someone its their inner selves that make them beautiful or ugly, a beautiful personality makes a person beautiful from the inside out, and an ugly personality makes a person ugly from the inside out.

3.  Do you prefer inner or outer beauty? Didn't I just already answer that? Inner beauty, I try my best to look good on the outside but know deep down that it is what is inside that matters.

4.  What's real beauty to you? Real beauty to me is someone who is generous, caring and always there for others. Someone who doesn't put their selves first and someone who can make you happy just by being around them.

5.  What makes you feel beautiful?  I never feel beautiful lol! This may seem shallow but nice clothes always make me feel better. In a corny kind of way my friends and my partner make me feel beautiful, the fact that they want to be around me always makes me happy.

30 Day Challenge, No.30 THE END

30 – A photograph of yourself taken today + three good things that have happened in the past 30 days

I'm kind of sad that today is the last day of this challenge! I've enjoyed doing it, and am pleased to be able to say that I managed to get a post up everyday on the trot for 30 days *pats myself on the back* 





Three good things that have happened to me in the last 30 days

RAK - Kelly over at Bakes, Beauty & Blog set up a group of bloggers to send each other little gifts, it was fab, I've met (in a non meeting kind of way!) four lovely bloggers through this and received some wonderful gifts - post to follow!


Birthday - I didn't like the turning *cough* 26 *cough* part of this but I had a bloody lovely birthday and was very spoilt

Quality time - Due to having all this time off and a birthday I have spent loads of quality time with my partner and friends and have really loved it

I hope you have all enjoyed reading my 30 day challenge as much as I have enjoyed taking part in it, I won't know what to do with myself now! If you are considering doing this challenge and think that you could post every day for 30 days do it, it has made me feel really good :)

30 Day Challenge, No.29

29 – The place you want to live

I love the area that I live in and couldn't really see me living anywhere else to be honest. There are plans for a new housing development about five minutes away from my house. A lot of people are opposing the plans due to the traffic so I don't know if it will go ahead. If it does I want to live there. They are planning on creating a nice little village with a canal running through it, sounds lovely!

28 – A cartoon character that you’d love to meet in real life

I struggled with this one because I haven't watched a cartoon for years! I was just thinking of TV programmes, Spencer then suggested using a cartoon character out of a film, which then left me with loads of ideas! I was going to pick Cinderella as that was my favourite film growing up, but then I decided I want to spend the day with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and be at one with the forest singing with the birds - perfect day I think!

27 – A photo of your favourite item of clothing

This is so difficult! Obviously it has to be a dress, I don't know if you've noticed but I live in dresses! I have so many pretty dresses so its difficult to pick just one!

I decided to go for this dress because it is my 'go to' dress. If I'm having a 'fat day' or just can't decide what to wear I always fall back on this dress. Its from Primark originally but I snapped it up for a bargain price on Ebay! It really flatters my figure and I love the print in it.

I may be hated for this because she has been in the public eye quite a bit today, but for me the focus on her confirmed that I really don't like her. Victoria Beckham. You're at, probably the wedding of the century, crack a smile love, it won't hurt!

24 – A song to match your mood

This is really difficult! I'm no good at music! I love loads of songs but can never remember what they're called and who sings them! Ohh eeecck...thinking cap where are you??

Right, I'm in a real random mood today, as Spencer is well aware after watching me dancing around the house and shaking me booty to no music! 


Soo random, booty shaking, I guess my song would have to be Beyonce - Single Ladies. I love dancing around to that song!

30 Day Challenge, No.23

23 – The next plan you have coming up that you’re really excited for

I had a sudden realisation in work today that I go on holiday next week - so that is what I'm excited for! We booked the holiday a while ago through the Sun. When we booked it it seemed as if it was ages away so I was quite shocked when looking through my calendar today and seeing that it is next Friday! We're going to the Isle of Wight, which is a place I've never visited before so I'm very much looking forward to it, fingers crossed the sunshine remains!

I'm also going on a night out in Cardiff this Sunday for my big sister's birthday which I'm looking forward to.

22 – A photograph of the part of you that you like the most

Another day in the challenge that has been a real struggle for me! I don't really look at myself and see a part of me that I particularly like. I've debated my eyes, but then even though I like the colour I hate them cause they're useless and mean glasses or contact lenses! I decided on my hair as I always get lots of compliments on how shiny my hair is and even though I moan about it is has been good to me over the years and is easy to style, so yeah, my hair (when it is behaving, unlike at the moment when I need my fringe cut!).

30 Day Challenge, No.21

21 – A photograph of the part of you that you dislike the most

For me (and probably most others doing this tag) this is a horrible day in the challenge. Who actually wants to pin point the part of them that they hate and then post a photo for all to see!

The worse part of me is my belly, which is why I live in dresses! I like to drink lager, I have IBS and I'm overweight, all of this leads to me having quite the pot belly! I'm pretty sure that in certain clothes people would think I was pregnant! My stomach is so out of proportion with the rest of my body, thankfully the cute little dresses that I love tend to hide this fact a lot and enhance the fact that I have a tiny waist - phew for dresses!

This photo was taken at my cousin's wedding in November, this is the most decent fat photo I have haha, the rest are just too horrendous! As you can see my stomach sticks out quite a bit, I could be pregnant! And yes, I am trying to be 'down with the kids' by headbanging here....

This is an easy one and maybe slightly biased. Two of my lovely cousin's are in a fab band called The Hot Feet. Rhiannon (my cousin) is the lead singer, she has an amazing voice! Her previous band (Trippa) were once on the Chart Show and on a CD that was free in Shreddies (breakfast cereal)!

30 Day Challenge, No.17

17 – A TV show you’re currently addicted to

Hollyoaks is my favourite TV programme of all time! I really don't think that this programme gets anywhere near the recognition that it deserves. It always annoys me that soaps such as Eastenders and Coronation Street steal the limelight at the awards shows, they've had so many fantastic story lines that really should be recognised. I love the variety of topics that this show covers and I also love the hot men in the programme!

30 Day Challenge, No. 16

16 – The most beautiful picture of your best friend.

I don't have a best friend, I have a very large group of friends and get on with them all really well for various reasons. These fantastic girls here are my four closest friends, again, all for various reasons, they are all going my be bridesmaids at my wedding.

First up is my big sister, Gemma, obviously I've know her all my life haha! We fought a lot growing up but then eventually learnt to get along, we now work in the same place, actually sitting opposite each and we socialise with the same group of friends.
Sarah has been a close friend since school, she quite often leads me astray! We were both in relationships in which we weren't allowed out and we both ended those relationships around the same time, this made us stronger without really realising.
Emma, what can I say about Emma....foul mouthed police officer haha! But I love her! She is one hell of a crazy lady but she is also one of the nicest people I know.
Claire is the youngest out of our group, she is Sarah's younger sister and that is how I know her. She got married two years ago and is due to give birth on Friday! I've literally just got off the phone to her and there is no sign of baby yet! Claire is also quite crazy at times, we have many childish giggles together!

30 Day Challenge, No. 15

15 – Something you regret

I genuinely have no regrets. I could rant on about how I spent three and a half years in a shit relationship, how I probably could of done a lot better in school, how I could of gone to Uni. But in reality I'm glad that I did/didn't do all of that stuff as I'm really happy with the path that my life is on at this precise moment. If I'd done things differently I wouldn't be where I am today and the person that I am today. Every bad decision that I have made in life has taught me a hell of a lot! I know now to never let any man be my boss and to put my all into everything, although the latter I'll be honest I still do struggle with!


I think more people should just concentrate on the now instead of regretting things that can't be changed in the past, like myself, put it all down to a ugly learning curve!
