NOTD, pastels and crackles

Monday, June 13, 2011
Hi all, hope you're all okay.

I've been in a real crappy mood today and don't really know why, so far I've hated my job, hated my life, hated my house, hated my bank - pretty much hated everything that crosses my path! Fingers crossed that the bitch from hell, aka me on a bad day, will be gone tomorrow!

This is how I've been rocking my nails the past week (yes, the whole week! The one good thing about all my nails snapping is that now they're shorter my nail varnish lasts so much longer!):

without flash
the colours used, annoyingly the stickers have fallen off the green so I'm not sure what colour it is
as you can see I painted the colours on VERY roughly, just one coat

and then went over them with BM crackle in white
Do you like this effect? I love how simple it is to create unusual looks with the crackle effects.

NOTD - Barry M Pink & Blue Crackles

Tuesday, April 12, 2011
Evening :) Is it just me who thinks this week is flying by? Tuesday in work is over so that leaves three days left this week - nice! I am loving the colour combination on my nails right now so thought it would be rude not to share it with you all!!

I'm using the new Barry M Crackles in Pink Fizz and Blue Print over Barry M Berry Ice Cream. I think it looks amazing!

What do you think? I think this is so effective for something that is so easy to do!

NOTD Barry M NEW White Frost Crackle over Green

Monday, March 21, 2011
I'm like a kid at Christmas when it comes to my new colour Barry M crackle paints! I'm getting so excited about which colour to try with which crackle next! Today I'm wearing the white crackle over a green Barry M. Annoyingly the sticker has come off the green so I'm not exactly sure which shade it is, I'm quite positive that it is the Spring Green though. Here are the results:

one coat

two coats

If you haven't yet bought the new colour crackles from Barry M you can do here. I think my next play around will be the pink crackle over Barry M Berry Ice Cream - NOTD coming soon!!

NEW Colours - Barry M Instant Nail Effects

Saturday, March 19, 2011
As I'm sure most of you know Barry M have released three new colours in their nail effects, I couldn't wait to get my hands on them! I was so excited when I picked up my package from the sorting office this morning! The colours are pink, blue and white.
I couldn't wait to try them so popped them on straight over yesterday's 'Comic Relief' red nails! The colours don't necessarily go with red but at least you can get the jist of them!
I can't wait to start experimenting with these! I'm going to buy a grey as I think they would all look lovely over grey. The white I think would like nice with black too.

Have you tried these yet? What colours do you think are best / would go best with them?

Rainbow Crackle Effect Nails

Sunday, March 13, 2011
Today I have been totally inspired by Zoe's post over at London Lip Gloss. Her nails just look so AMAZING! I had to whip off my existing polish and give this a go straight away! It is very easy to do and the results are fab, I keep looking at them and smiling!

I started by applying different coloured stripes (very messily!)
then went over them with some Barry M Nail effects & a clear top coat when they had dried
tidied up a bit around the edges, and voilĂ ! So simple but so effective.

NOTD

Saturday, March 5, 2011
Today I am wearing Rimmel 60 seconds in Silver Bullet with Barry M Nail effects. I tend to be really lazy and never both with a top coat but I decided to apply my Sally Hansen nail shine miracle top coat in the hope that it will last longer. Because I do a lot of typing in work my nails always chip easily. I'm now on day three and it is still perfectly intact, top coat more often!

I absolutely love these Rimmel polishes, they have an Xpress brush and claim that it can be applied in one second. The brush really does make application so easy, they're fab :) The downside, I had to apply three coats to get the colour I wanted, but when it dries so quickly and is so easy to apply its not too much of a chore.

Here are the results:

two coats

three coats

i love the contrast of silver & black

First ever NOTD

Wednesday, February 16, 2011
Hi guys

My Barry M order turned up today so I thought I'd do my first ever NOTD! My order contained nail effects which totally amazed me, it does exactly what it says on the tin! It looks awesome and is so easy! I also used Barry M Berry shade 308 (two coats). These are the results...

One coat
Two coats
I am so pleased with the result. I think next time I will try it with a more vibrant base coat for a more dramatic effect, keep an eye out!
